2027 XMA fan pre-nominations are open until October 15: where to put me and the people I shoot with

Fan pre-nominations for the 2027 XMAs opened on September 15 and close on October 15, 2026. The form lives at xma.show/fans, it takes about a minute, and it asks you for two things per entry: a name and an X handle. That second field is why this post exists. If you're going to spend a pre-nom on me or on someone I shoot with, I'd rather you land it in the right category with the right handle than have it evaporate on a typo.

Claim: I'm a year and change into self-producing, so the only category I honestly fit is Fav Male Star. Everyone else on this page gets the category they've earned, not the one I'd like them in.

What are the 2027 XMAs, and how do fan pre-noms fit in?

The XMAs are XBIZ's flagship awards show, the one formerly called the XBIZ Awards. The 2027 ceremony is set for Sunday, January 10, 2027, at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE, closing out XBIZ's January event week. Most of its categories are industry-nominated: you need an XBIZ.net membership to pre-nominate there, and that window closes September 30. The fan side is separate. Nine Fan Favorite categories, no membership required, open to anyone with a Google or Microsoft account, running September 15 through October 15.

I've written about the Creator Awards in Miami, where Big Bear took Male Streamer of the Year on fan votes, and about XMA Europe pre-nominations in June. This is the third show in the family and the biggest one. Same mechanism at the fan stage: before there's a ballot, fans decide whose names go on it. By the time voting opens you can only pick from whoever made the cut. Right now you're helping build the list.

How do I submit a fan pre-nomination?

Open xma.show/fans in a real browser, sign in with Google or Microsoft, pick a category, type the performer's name and their X handle, and hit submit. One minute, maybe two if you're doing several.

The real-browser part is not filler. If you tap the link from inside the X app, Instagram, or TikTok, the page detects the in-app browser and refuses to show the sign-in buttons at all. It tells you to open the page in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox instead. Use the share menu, pick "open in browser," and the buttons appear.

The nine fan categories on the form as of today:

• Fav Trans Star
• Fav Girl/Girl Star
• Fav Gay Star
• Fav MILF Star
• Fav BBW Star
• Fav Cosplay Star
• Fav Fetish Star

Each one is described the same way on the form: a performer "with an outstanding body of work and fan engagement." There's no separate "new performer" or "rising" category this time, which changes my own answer from the June post.

Which category do I go in?

Fav Male Star, and that's the only one. Last cycle the Europe form had a rising-creator slot and I said that was the fairer home for someone a year into this. That slot doesn't exist on this form. So if you think the work I've put out since 2025 earns a pre-nom, it's:

Every handle below is the one listed on that performer's page on this site. The form requires it, so copy it exactly.

Fav BBW Star is where most of the people I shoot with live:

Does a pre-nom actually change anything?

Yes, and more than the final vote does. Fan pre-noms are the input that builds the fan ballot. A performer who'd never clear an industry shortlist can land on the ballot purely because enough of the people who watch them typed the name in. After October 15 that door shuts and the names are fixed.
